Hi all! For those of you who don't know me, my name is Justina and I am a third year double major in music education and trombone performance! I serve as the Vice President, Ritual and Historian for the Eta Mu chapter and I am the President-elect for the 2021-22 school year. I have hazel eyes and enjoy bowling and long walks/hikes.
I am remote straight from New Jersey this semester. I won't lie, it has been a little rough transitioning to the typical college life to eating, breathing, and working from my bedroom. But, luckily I have so many supportive sisters from Eta Mu that have eased this transition for me. I am so lucky to get to call these empowering women my sisters and (finally) not be an only child! Let me tell you a little bit about what I've been up to within the past few days...
Since it has been so nice outside, I have been taking the time to get out and exercise. I have been so much more productive and energized to grind on some work and musical projects I have been wanting to do. I've been keeping up with my friends via FaceTime and Zoom meetings, as well as through rehearsals for my a cappella group, HartAttack, and trombone studio time. I've been trying to get a lot of work done before the weekends hit so I have more time to relax and practice trombone without worrying about other assignments and things to do. For the past couple of days I have been updating my resume and cover letter for an internship that I am *hoping* that I get for this summer. Fingers crossed!
The thing that I am most looking forward to this week is... well actually... two things! I am getting my first dose of the vaccine tomorrow! This will make me feel so much better as I live with my grandma. Plus, I've been waiting for this for so long! Luckily for me, on Friday, I'll be taking a lil trip to Connecticut to visit Hannah for the day! I am so excited to see her because I miss her so much. We have been sending snail mail to each other which has been SO. MUCH. FUN. I love sending and receiving mail. What a time to be alive.
I think that is all for today, I shall make sure to write tomorrow/Friday before my blogging time is done!!
